Right I forgot that about arcanine, but still ponyta and rapidash do the same thing so sorry but it definitely is used often.

Really.. you should do more research because wingull's line and arcanine's line both do it and why shouldn't evolutions count.

The reason it is like that is because it is a very good move and it will entice trainers to stop it from evolving to make it learn that move. This technique is used very often in pokemon not only in chimchar. and by the way it is Trickah not Trickstah
